From literature to essays to opinion polls, the divides in our societies are examined from all angles. We even see regular debates on supposed generational conflicts and divides between young and old on the major issues that structure our common future, such as the environment and global warming.

But it would be a mistake to pit the generations against each other on these issues !

The first reason is that older people, like all vulnerable people, are the first victims of climatic catastrophes. And then, studies demonstrate the need to consider the complementary approaches of the different generations to climate issues.

This article aims to twist the idea that the most “mature” are not necessarily the “greenest” !
